About KAYANI
Kayani is a non-profit region-oriented organisation in Jerusalem, established in 2020 under the Identification No. 580710176. Our name, which means “my existence,” reflects our efforts seeking to promote our presence to become the first and foremost guide in Jerusalem for environment and sustainability affairs, particularly in women-oriented economic and agricultural fields, as well green technologies for youth. We are seeking to achieve these goals through a series of existing projects and programs to meet the needs of the Jerusalemite society through a distinguished team qualified by Kayani including initiators and volunteers with a sense of belonging to society under entrepreneurial programs and administrative practices.

Our Vision
Kayani strives to become a region-oriented Jerusalemite incubator for entrepreneurship in the field of environmental sustainability, while seeking to promote the values of environmental justice and the quality of life and wellbeing by the end of 2034.
Our Approach
Social change processes require knowledge, expertise, and a deep understanding of context to successfully translate needs into initiatives in line with the community culture in Jerusalem, thus into concrete and effective activities built on our investment in deep cultural knowledge; understanding of the Arab society needs; practical expertise and knowledge gained through several ongoing initiatives and the means to sustain such initiatives; and extensive experience in field work. Kayani has the capabilities needed to provide the community with concrete and effective results.
Kayani is a driving force behind community change and development in the light of a changing dynamic reality.
Kayani is a volunteering organization consisting of 500 volunteers from Jerusalem, who dedicate their time and skills to community projects carried out through private entities or in collaboration with various local and international institutions such as WRAP, the Lutheran World Federation, schools, private and public centres, the public space, and participants’ private houses. We qualify mentors on sustainability-related matters and create dedicated content in line with Jerusalem’s nature and culture in collaboration with Jerusalemite experts in the field of environment and sustainability (for instance, fish farming; hydroponics; greenhouse construction; biogas; solar panel construction; composting; and skills to promote resources conservation, sound consumption culture, environmental protection, and sustainable leadership).
Moreover, we collaborate with skilled designers to provide information on training courses, consultancies, and our activities to increase awareness about the environmental issues on our website and social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and a YouTube Channel, along with a bulletin board.
