Self-sustaining greenhouse

The fifth consecutive self-sustaining greenhouse for this year has been completed for the year 2024 In the schools of Jerusalem

The greenhouse in the schoolyard boasts breathtaking beauty and serves as a safe haven for growing vegetables and plants. It is more than just a place for cultivating vegetables; it is a living classroom where students can learn firsthand about the environment and sustainable agriculture. Working in the greenhouse helps students understand the plant life cycle, the importance of sustainability, and the impact of ecosystems. It also contributes to raising environmental awareness among students and encourages them to respect and care for nature. Positioned in the yard, the greenhouse acts as an aesthetic element that enhances the architectural charm of the school and contributes to creating a greener, more active learning environment.

During the 2023/2024 academic year, six agricultural greenhouses were established in Jerusalem schools, marking a significant step in enhancing educational content for students. These greenhouses provide a hands-on environment where students can learn about sustainable agriculture and environmental sciences firsthand, enriching their learning experience.
