January: A Month of Smart Agriculture in Jerusalem Kindergartens

January was a month of smart agriculture at Kayani.

During this month, Kayani completed the installation of 12 hydroponic systems in kindergartens across Jerusalem, bringing modern, hands-on sustainability education directly into early childhood learning spaces.

These systems are not based on soil or traditional farming. They use water-based growing methods that allow children to observe how food grows, step by step, right in front of their eyes.

Hydroponics is more than a growing system. It is a living STEM laboratory inside the kindergarten.

Through the hydroponic systems, children are introduced to important concepts such as:

• Water and its role in plant growth

• Light, energy, and healthy development

• Measuring, observing, and documenting change

• Daily responsibility and care

• Healthy food and sustainable living

At Kayani, we do not only grow plants. We grow awareness, curiosity, responsibility, and a new connection to sustainability from an early age.

Twelve kindergartens have already started their journey with smart agriculture.
