Jerusalem Heritage Cart Workshop at Ras Al-Amud Boys Secondary School

Kayani implemented a hands-on heritage workshop at Ras Al-Amud Boys Secondary School in Jerusalem, under the leadership of Principal Shada.

During the workshop, students worked on designing and building a traditional Jerusalem heritage cart, combining practical skills, creativity, teamwork, and cultural identity.

This activity was more than a craft project. It was an educational experience that connected students to Jerusalem’s heritage while strengthening their skills in planning, building, problem-solving, and working with their hands.

Through the workshop, students explored:

  • Traditional Jerusalem heritage and local identity

  • Woodwork, design, and manual skills

  • Teamwork and shared responsibility

  • Creative learning through practice

  • The connection between culture, place, and education

At Kayani, we believe that heritage can become a living learning tool. When students create something with their own hands, they do not only learn a skill — they build confidence, belonging, and pride in their community.

This project reflects Kayani’s commitment to practical education, cultural empowerment, and meaningful school spaces in Jerusalem.
